How we test cybersecurity at VEDOS (and why it keeps you safe)
As a provider that meets the requirements of ISO standards and the highest category under NIS2, we have to follow truly strict security rules. But we do not see this merely as an obligation – security is a key part of the service we have long provided to you.
That is why we regularly run cybersecurity tests, both at the technology and the people level. One of the latest steps, for example, was a mock phishing test on our employees:
– we tested how well we can recognise suspicious e-mails,
– how quickly we can respond internally,
– and whether our processes work in a real situation too, not just “on paper”.
The result? We confirmed that the combination of technical measures, training our people and rigorous processes works just as it should. It is precisely thanks to these tests and continuous improvement that we can ensure your data and services run with us safely and reliably.

A tour of Foxconn: where servers are born
We recently visited the Foxconn manufacturing plant in Kutná Hora, the place where Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) servers and storage systems are made for the entire EMEA region. HPE representatives showed us the whole production process step by step, from the smallest components, through populating the boards and testing, all the way to fully assembled racks ready for shipment. HPE oversees the entire process in detail. This matters to us also because they are our long-term partner and we use their server technologies in our environment. So we were interested to see how servers are made in practice and what the hosting services you use ultimately run on.
It is interesting to see that the technologies our services are built on are made literally just around the corner in Czechia. From the tour we take away concrete insights for the further development of our infrastructure and a clearer idea of what the journey of hardware to operation in a data centre looks like.

Mailhosting Business now also with web hosting
You already know about our Mailhosting Business product. Now we are adding the option to order this extension for your web hosting as well.
Mailhosting Business offers 1 TB of e-mail storage (expandable up to 5 TB) and a daily limit of up to 2,500 sent messages, which will be appreciated especially by companies, e-shops and other projects with a higher volume of communication.
The end of the year is also approaching. If you are running out of space in your mailboxes, hitting the daily sending limits or want to optimise your costs while it is still this year, you can simply add Mailhosting Business in the customer administration for a specific web hosting.
Not sure whether Mailhosting Business is right for you? Take a look at the case study of a local e-shop.
CUSTOMER SUPPORT TIP: When you are starting out with the customer administration
In our knowledge base you will now find a new Video guides category. These complement the beginner guides with narrated recordings of common tasks in the customer administration. You will see exactly what you do in the administration yourself, just with expert commentary added.
If you prefer watching a procedure live rather than reading long texts, the video guides are ideal for you.
