KVM (Keyboard-Video-Mouse) is a general name for the technology for remote access to the monitor, keyboard, and mouse of a server. Operating systems

When ordering a virtual server, you can choose one of the pre-installed Linux-based operating systems.
This is always only a basic installation without any additional software. The customer has full access to the server via SSH as the root.
The last option is to order a virtual server without an operating system. The customer then, after the server is set up, connects a CD/DVD of their choice in the customer administration, boots from that CD/DVD, and performs their own installation of any system. If the customer installs an operating system that requires a license, the customer is obliged to own such a license and to present it upon request.
