Example

Your web hosting with company XY is prepaid until 9 September 2025. On 15 February 2025 you pay for web hosting with us (for 1 year). Such web hosting would normally be valid until 15 February 2026. You had 208 days remaining with the competitor, so we’ll extend the validity of your web hosting with us free of charge by 416 days, meaning its validity date will be 6 April 2027.

Conditions for the free period

  • it must be paid web hosting for the same second-level domain
  • when ordering the web hosting, the customer must truthfully state which competing company they are switching from and which web hosting plan they were using
  • with the web hosting order, the customer must attach a document (invoice) proving the existence of the web hosting service with the competitor, which also documents the end date of the prepaid period; this invoice must contain:
    • the type of service (web hosting) and the name of the domain for which the service is registered with the competitor
    • the day, month and year of the end of the prepaid period
    • confirmation that the prepayment amount for the given period has been paid
  • the offer does not apply to web hosting provided by the competitor free of charge, nor when it is part of another paid service (e.g. domains)
  • before the bonus is granted, the customer must pay the annual fee for running VEDOS Web Hosting
  • the number of days remaining in the prepaid period with the competitor is counted from the day the order is paid with us
  • the maximum free period is 2 years
  • the eligibility of the claim for the bonus period is assessed by the operator, who is entitled to shorten the granted period or reject the request entirely
