Rapport ESG – WEDOS Internet, a.s.

Record date: 31. 12. 2025

This document provides an overview of the environmental, social and governance (ESG) approaches, activities and key results of WEDOS Internet, a.s. for 2025. The ESG report describes responsible resource management, community benefits, significant certifications and strategic priorities relating to sustainability, service quality and social impact.

1. Environmental (E)

Energy consumption and resource use

WEDOS Internet, a.s. operates two of its own data centers with different energy profiles and cooling technologies.

  • DC1 (“the Bunker”):
    Annual electricity consumption for 2025 was approximately 1 600 MWh.
    DC1 is cooled by “free cooling”, which significantly reduces the energy needed to cool the servers.
  • DC2 (“Podskalí”):
    DC2 uses a unique oil-cooling system. Even at lower server occupancy, DC2 saves several tens of MWh per year compared with traditional air cooling, and its operation is exceptionally energy-efficient.

In both centers, the energy intensity of operations is monitored with the aim of using resources efficiently and minimizing energy losses.

Infrastructure renewal

During 2025, the company systematically renewed its server infrastructure with an emphasis on higher energy efficiency and lower consumption per unit of computing power. The new servers have better energy parameters than the previous generation, which contributes to improving the overall efficiency of operations.

2. Social (S)

Employees and the working environment

As of 31 December 2025, the company had a total of 65 employees, of which 51 men and 14 women (21.5%). This structure reflects the situation in the IT labor market. Most employees work in technical and operational departments (infrastructure, development, security). WEDOS supports:

  • the professional development of employees,
  • flexible forms of work,
  • a safe and inclusive working environment.

Service security

Operational security is a long-term priority: during the reporting period no serious security incident affecting customers was recorded. The company implements principles and procedures that minimize the risk of both operational and security incidents.

Social responsibility and CSR activities

WEDOS has long supported various charitable initiatives, socially beneficial projects and community activities. Assistance is provided both in the form of donations and by providing free services (e.g. hosting) according to the needs of individual organizations.

The supported activities and areas include:

  • support for non-profit organizations focused on helping people with health and social disadvantages, including organizations such as Centrum BAZALKA, o.p.s., Beruška HB, z.s., Neticho, z.s., Nadační fond Slza zvířat and others that provide care for children, young people and animals in need;
  • regular sponsorship of the Hluboká nad Vltavou Zoo and other cultural and social activities;
  • support for sport, including clubs and tournaments at various levels;
  • we support volunteer and professional firefighters, including donations of real value, promotional gifts or free hosting according to the individual needs of the organizations;
  • support for schools and education – e.g. material gifts for graduation-ball raffles, free guided tours of both data centers (DC1 and DC2) with commentary for students;
  • we source some of our promotional items from sheltered workshops (e.g. Profimex), thereby supporting the employment of people with health or social disadvantages.

The company continues to openly publish selected partner and sponsorship projects on its website so that its assistance is transparent and measurable.

3. Governance (G)

Corporate governance and transparency

WEDOS has a clearly defined organizational structure that ensures accountability for key management areas, including infrastructure operations, data security and service quality. Transparent processes and ethical conduct are part of the company culture.

These certifications confirm that the processes for quality management, information security and environmental approach meet strict international standards and are regularly audited by independent bodies.

Compliance with legal and regulatory requirements

The company complies with all relevant legal standards in the area of personal data protection (e.g. GDPR), cybersecurity and other regulations associated with providing hosting, server and cloud services.

Cybersecurity and incident management

Cybersecurity and the ability to respond effectively to security incidents are among the company’s key management areas.

In 2025, the company established its own CSIRT team, which provides monitoring, analysis and resolution of security incidents across the operated infrastructure. This team strengthens the company’s ability to respond quickly to threats and to protect customer services and data.

At the same time, the company’s DDoS-protection services met the requirements for DDoS mitigation providers under Section 3 of the BSIG Act in Germany. This status confirms the technical and operational capability of WEDOS services in protecting critical infrastructure and maintaining a high level of cybersecurity.
